THE SETTING:

Vulcan Productions was nearing the worldwide launch of Racing Extinction on Discovery Channel – and it wanted to measure the impact the film would have on inspiring US activism toward curbing species extinction.

THE STRUGGLE:

Species extinction is a broad topic – and a lot of NGOs were working on the same topic. Setting attributable, measurable goals was harder than it appeared.

THE TURNING POINT:

Research Narrative worked with Vulcan to put in motion key strategic goals that were measurable in a shorter time frame. Our team worked with Vulcan to consistently measure progress and course correct based on results. And even identified some surprise success stories!

THE RESOLUTION:

Racing Extinction was the most watched documentary in Discovery’s past three years, and helped to reposition the climate change conversation among skeptics. The film also enabled a cast member to meet with the White House to reduce offshore drilling and protect ocean habitats.
